Bill Skarsgård Horror Movie Now Free to Watch Amid It: Welcome to Derry Releases

An underrated Bill Skarsgård horror movie is now available to watch for free amid the weekly releases of It: Welcome to Derry.

It: Welcome to Derry is HBO Max’s new Stephen King show that is based on his 1986 novel It. Serving as a prequel to 2017’s It and 2019’s It Chapter Two, the series was developed by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Jason Fuchs, and sees Skarsgård reprise his role as Pennywise.

Released the same year as It Chapter Two, Villains is a 2019 comedic horror film directed by Dan Berk and Robert Olsen. It sees Skarsgård play a character named Mickey, while the cast also includes Maika Monroe as Jules, Kyra Sedgwick as Gloria, Jeffrey Donovan as George, Noah Robbins as Nick, and Blake Baumgartner as Sweetiepie.

How can Villains with Bill Skarsgård be watched for free?

The official Shout! Studios YouTube account has uploaded Villains onto its channel, meaning the whole movie can now be watched for free in its entirety on that website. Check it out below (watch more trailers and clips):

Having originally premiered at South by Southwest in March 2019, Gunpowerder & Sky’s Villains received positive reviews from critics. It currently has an 84 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer, with 68 reviews in total, and a 77 percent score on the Popcornmeter.

Meanwhile, there are still four It: Welcome to Derry episodes that have yet to be released, with the finale arriving on December 14, 2025. In addition to Skarsgård, the cast of that show includes Taylour Paige as Charlotte Hanlon, Jovan Adepo as Leroy Hanlon, James Remar as Francis Shaw, Stephen Rider as Hank Grogan, Matilda Lawler as Marge Truman, and more.
