Ocean’s 14 Cast Adds Another Star to George Clooney, Julia Roberts Movie
Warner Bros. Pictures’ highly anticipated Ocean’s 14 movie has received a brand new casting update, teasing the return of a familiar antagonist. The sequel will once again be led by Academy Award winners George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Matt Damon, and Brad Pitt as they reprise their respective roles as Danny Ocean, Tess Ocean, Linus Caldwell, and Rusty Ryan.
Who is joining the Ocean’s 14 cast?
During a recent interview with TheWrap, The Godfather Part III star Andy Garcia confirmed that he will be returning as casino owner Terry Benedict in Ocean’s 14 more than two decades since first playing the character in Ocean’s Eleven. In addition, Garcia also addressed the movie’s target production start date, revealing that the studio is planning to begin filming in 2026. It was initially scheduled for January, but due to its A-list cast’s busy schedule, it was slightly delayed to a later date.
At the moment, Ocean’s 14 has no director or release date attached to it yet. Conclave director Edward Berger previously turned down an offer to helm the project. Further details about its plot are still under wraps. In a previous interview, Clooney also confirmed that Marvel vet Don Cheadle will also make his return as bomb expert Basher Tarr.
“We just got the budget approved at Warner Brothers, and we’re trying to set up,” Clooney said. “It’s just scheduling, so it’s just setting a start date for us. Probably start in about nine or ten months, shooting.”
In the early 2000s, Steven Soderbergh directed the remake of Ocean’s Eleven, which also featured a star-studded ensemble led by George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and Matt Damon. Due to its box-office success, it was followed by three more installments, including the spin-off Ocean’s 8, which featured Sandra Bullock as Debbie Ocean, the sister of Clooney’s Danny Ocean. The franchise currently has a combined worldwide gross of over $1 billion at the box office.
