How Good Fortune’s Wings Gave Life to Keanu Reeves’ Angel Revealed | Exclusive

ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive Good Fortune clip, previewing the way that director Aziz Ansari and the team behind the movie accomplished the angelic wings that were worn in the movie. Good Fortune is available now to own on digital services and will also be released on 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD on December 9.

“The film follows a well-meaning but rather inept angel named Gabriel who observes a struggling gig worker, Arj, who is barely making ends meet in Los Angeles, and intervenes to show him that money can’t solve all his problems. Gabriel swaps Arj’s life with a wealthy venture capitalist, Jeff, but the plan backfires when Arj is convinced his newfound wealth has, in fact, solved all his problems. As Arj refuses to switch back, Jeff is left without his fortune, Gabriel loses his wings, and all three are forced to confront what it truly means to be human,” reads the official synopsis.

What happens in the Good Fortune clip?

The clip sees Ansari and several other crew members on the movie, including Carolyn Dessert, Costume Supervisor on the film, talking about how they accomplished the look of the wings in the movie. The pair details the various design steps they took to ensure the wings can move, as well as how they accomplished the realistic look of the wings.

Good Fortune was written, directed, and produced by Ansari in his feature directorial debut. The movie was produced by Anthony Katagas and Alan Yang, with Aniz Adam Ansari, Jonathan McCoy, Christopher Woodrow, and Connor DiGregorio serving as executive producers. The creative team also included director of photography Adam Newport-Berra and composer Carter Burwell. It is a production by Lionsgate.

Alongside Ansari, the film also stars Seth Rogen, Keanu Reeves, Keke Palmer, Sandra Oh, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Penny Johnson Jerald, and Sherry Cola.
