Arco Trailer Previews Will Ferrell Fantasy Movie With Major Oscar Buzz
A new trailer for Arco has been released.
Arco is a forthcoming animated fantasy movie directed by Ugo Bienvenu. Being released by Neon, the film is considered a favorite for an Oscar nomination for Best Animated Feature after winning the top prize at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. It was also shown at the Cannes Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival.

What happens in the Arco trailer?
The Arco trailer takes audiences on a “magical and beautifully animated journey through time” and introduces them to a “10-year-old boy from a peaceful, distant future who accidentally travels back to the year 2075 and discovers a world in peril.”
The official synopsis continues, “As Arco develops a charming and touching friendship with a young girl named Iris, they band together and, along with her trusted robot caretaker Mikki, set out on a quest to get Arco home, while the two children may also be the only ones who can save our planet. A wondrous odyssey filled with hope and optimism for our future, Arco is an enchanting fable from breakout filmmaker Ugo Bienvenu, produced by Remembers’ Bienvenu and Felix de Givry, and mountainA’s Natalie Portman and Sophie Mas.”
The English voice cast of the film includes Will Ferrell, America Ferrera, Flea, Natalie Portman, Mark Ruffalo, and Andy Samberg.
Bienvenu co-wrote the script with Félix de Givry. Both of them also serve as producers on the project alongside Audrey Tondre, Sophie Mas, and Remembers Studio. The movie was made in co-production with France 3 Cinéma, with the participation of Netflix, France Télévisions, and Diaphana et Goodfellas Animation.
Arco will be released in select United States theaters on November 14, 2025, for an awards-qualifying run. It will then receive a wider release in early 2026.
