Final Frankenstein Trailer Gives Last Look at Oscar Isaac Netflix Horror Movie

Netflix has shared the final trailer for Frankenstein, Guillermo del Toro‘s film adaptation of Mary Shelley’s iconic 1818 novel. Following its world premiere at the 2025 Venice International Film Festival, the gothic sci-fi movie will now be available for streaming starting on November 7.

“The film tells the classic tale of Victor Frankenstein, a brilliant but egotistical scientist who brings a creature to life in a monstrous experiment that ultimately leads to the undoing of both the creator and his tragic creation,” reads the official synopsis.

What occurs in the new Frankenstein trailer?

The video introduces Oscar Isaac as Victor Frankenstein, a mad scientist who defies the law of nature by giving life to a human-like monster. The trailer highlights the dangerous consequences of his mistake. It also offers a closer look at Jacob Elordi‘s incredible transformation as The Creature along with a preview of the great power he possesses.

Frankenstein is written and directed by Del Toro, who is also serving as a producer along with J. Miles Dale and Scott Stuber. The ensemble cast includes Mia Goth, Felix Kammerer, David Bradley, Lars Mikkelsen, Christian Convery, with Charles Dance, and Christoph Waltz. Since its world premiere, the movie has already received a Certified Fresh score of 85% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 225 reviews.

The acclaimed filmmaker has been a long-time fan of Mary Shelley’s works, especially her Frankenstein novel. During his acceptance speech in 2018 for winning a BAFTA Award for Best Director, The Shape of Water director even mentioned the gothic author as giving him inspiration to tell stories.
