Jennifer Lawrence Gives Exciting Update on Directorial Debut

In 2015, it was reported that Academy Award winner Jennifer Lawrence was attached to helm and produce a movie titled Project Delirium. However, the project never came to fruition. Now, after a decade, it seems like The Hunger Games vet has once again found another movie that could serve as her directorial debut.

What is the new update for Jennifer Lawrence’s directorial debut?

During the promotional tour for No Hard Feelings in 2022, Lawrence previously revealed that she wasn’t really interested in venturing into the world of directing. “You know, I used to think that, and now I’m just so tired. And it just looks so hard,” she said in an interview with Good Morning America.

It now looks like the acclaimed actress finally had a change of heart. According to The New Yorker, Lawrence is developing a movie with Amy Schumer‘s sister, Kim Caramele, an Emmy Award-winning writer and producer. Lawrence is planning to direct and write the untitled comedy. She and Caramele are now working on the screenplay’s second draft.

At the moment, Lawrence is busy preparing for the upcoming theatrical release of her comedy-drama movie with Robert Pattinson, Die My Love. It is scheduled to debut on November 7. She is also currently attached to star in Martin Scorsese’s upcoming mystery thriller, What Happens at Night, which will also be led by Leonardo DiCaprio.

As for Caramele, she most recently co-wrote the Hulu biopic movie Swiped, which starred Lily James. She also previously served as a writer and producer on the Paramount+ series Inside Amy Schumer.
