Blue Beetle to stream on Netflix in November
Blue Beetle is said to start streaming on Netflix on November 17, 2025, as part of its monthly lineup. Directed by Ángel Manuel Soto, the film stars Xolo Maridueña, Bruna Marquezine, and Susan Sarandon. The 2023 DC film follows Jaime Reyes, a graduate who gains powers from an alien scarab. It streams in the U.S. in November, with Stranger Things Season 5 and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom also scheduled to stream on the platform in the same month.
According to What’s on Netflix, the movie joins Netflix’s expanding lineup of other titles arriving in November. Its synopsis reads: “Recent college grad Jaime Reyes returns home full of aspirations for his future, only to find that home is not quite as he left it. As he searches to find his purpose in the world, fate intervenes when Jaime unexpectedly finds himself in possession of an ancient relic of alien biotechnology: the Scarab. When the Scarab suddenly chooses Jaime to be its symbiotic host, he is bestowed with an incredible suit of armor capable of extraordinary and unpredictable powers.”
DC Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures released Blue Beetle in theaters on August 18, 2023, with a runtime of around 128 minutes. Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer wrote the film, and John Rickard and Zev Foreman produced it.
The movie earned modest box office returns but holds a solid 90% audience approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The site’s audience consensus reads, “Funny with lots of action and an appealing cast, Blue Beetle is an entertaining superhero origin story with a few fresh twists.”
