The performances are also receiving standing ovations in these early reviews. Erivo continues to be hailed as “magnificent,” but Grande is generating particularly feverish praise. One reaction claimed, “Get ready for Ariana Grande as she takes this performance to the next level and is a tour de force.” The buzz is so strong that another viewer predicted, “Ariana Grande is gonna win??! that Oscar.” Jonathan Bailey’s return as Fiyero is also drawing acclaim, with one fan noting that he “continues as the heartthrob of a lifetime.”
