Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom to begin streaming on Netflix on November 27

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, the last DCEU movie, is set to begin streaming on Netflix.

The Jason Momoa-led superhero film will arrive on the streaming platform on November 27, 2025, as confirmed by What’s on Netflix

Directed by James Wan, the 2023 movie brings back Momoa as Arthur Curry. The other cast members include Patrick Wilson as Orm Marius, Amber Heard as Mera, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom follows David Kane, AKA Black Manta. He seeks revenge against Aquaman for his father’s death. Kane also gains control of the ancient and dangerous Black Trident, which is capable of destroying both worlds.

Consequently, Aquaman joins forces with his estranged brother Orm, the former King of Atlantis, to confront this escalating danger. The duo fights together to protect their kingdom and prevent a disaster that endangers both the surface world and the underwater realm.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the film currently holds a 33 percent Tomatometer rating based on 212 reviews.

Writing for the Los Angeles Times, Michael Ordoña described it as a “mostly diverting, upbeat closer.” He wrote, “The experience of watching ‘Lost Kingdom’ (directed by James Wan, as was ‘Aquaman’) is often a fun one, though. Where the first movie felt like a superhero version of “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” this sequel is a buddy cop movie: Arthur, the freewheeling, fight-first-sort-it-out-later one, and Orm, the by-the-book stickler.”

Additionally, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom performed well commercially, collecting $440.2 million globally, including $124.5 million from North America. (via Box Office Mojo)
