“After her boyfriend commits suicide, a psychology student (Kristen Bell) and her friends begin receiving unsettling e-mails and video messages,” a description of the plot reads. “After a number of disappearances across campus, she teams up with a computer hacker (Ian Somerhalder) to shut down the deadly force before it spreads to the rest of the world.”

Pulse was followed by two direct-to-video sequels, Pulse 2: Afterlife and Pulse 3, both of which were released in 2008. Both of those movies were directed by Joel Soisson and can currently be watched on Fawesome TV.
