New Wicked: For Good Posters Show Colman Domingo’s Cowardly Lion
Universal Pictures has unveiled nine new character posters for Wicked: For Good, highlighting the film’s heroes, villains, and supporting characters. One of the key reveals is Colman Domingo as the Cowardly Lion, introduced through the official @wickedmovie Instagram page.

“Welcome Colman Domingo as the Cowardly Lion. #WickedForGood arrives in theaters in one month.” With this caption, the official @wickedmovie Instagram unveiled nine new character posters from Universal Pictures, featuring Domingo alongside Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba, Ariana Grande’s Glinda, Jeff Goldblum’s Wizard, and Jonathan Bailey’s Fiyero.
Director Jon M. Chu told Deadline that Erivo’s Elphaba was portrayed as a “superhero,” explaining, “We wanted to show how powerful she really was… Elphaba’s her own person and Glinda could be too. It’s also the origin story of Glinda the Good.”
Chu revealed he contacted Domingo directly via Instagram, saying, “It’s not a ton of lines, but maybe you have a little time… He was like, ‘Why the f— not, let’s go!’ And then we went ahead and recorded the lines.”
The new film continues the story from the 2024 Wicked movie. Elphaba, now exiled and labeled the Wicked Witch of the West, hides in the Ozian forest while fighting for the freedom of Oz’s silenced Animals. Meanwhile, Glinda lives in Emerald City under Madame Morrible’s guidance, serving as a symbol of goodness while preparing to marry Prince Fiyero.
As Glinda and Elphaba’s paths cross again, their divided loyalties threaten the stability of Oz. The story also follows Nessarose and Boq as their lives intertwine with Elphaba and Glinda’s choices. The arrival of a girl from Kansas then sets the stage for the fateful events that link Wicked to The Wizard of Oz.
Wicked: For Good premieres in theaters on November 21, 2025.
