Mind-Bending Christopher Nolan Sci-Fi Movie Coming to Netflix Soon

One of Christopher Nolan’s most mind-bending and ambitious sci-fi thrillers, Tenet, will finally arrive on Netflix soon. The 2020 blockbuster, featuring John David Washington and Robert Pattinson, is visually striking. Known for its complex story and high-stakes action, it has gained a significant fan following since then.

Christopher Nolan’s Tenet to stream on Netflix in November 2025

Christopher Nolan’s ambitious sci-fi action film Tenet will soon be available for streaming on Netflix. John David Washington and Robert Pattinson’s 2020 film explores espionage and the manipulation of time. As reported by What’s on Netflix, the film will begin streaming on November 1, 2025.

The film follows an undercover CIA agent known only as the Protagonist, who is recruited by a secretive organization called Tenet. Tasked with preventing a global disaster, he works alongside Neil as they face the ruthless Russian oligarch Andrei Sator. Sator, a powerful Russian arms dealer, threatens to trigger World War III using technology with the ability to manipulate time.

Tenet faced multiple delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic before debuting in U.S. theaters on September 3, 2020. Despite limited theater operations, according to Box Office Mojo, the film went on to earn over $360 million worldwide on a production budget of around $200 million. This includes about $58 million from the United States and Canada and over $306 million internationally.

The film received generally positive reviews, holding a 70% rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 380 reviews. The Daily Beast‘s Nick Schager said the film is “the epitome of his (Nolan) temporally twisty canon.”

He added, “In other words, it’s best to tune in, drop out, and give yourself over to Tenet’s blaring rhythms, silky suspense and bracing thrills, perhaps none more memorable than a scene in which Washington takes down an adversary by smashing his face in with a cheese grater—a stunning sight that, at home, might just compel you to hit rewind.”
