Vin Diesel Shares Fast & Furious 11 Update: ‘We’ve Got It Solved’
Among all the uncertainty surrounding Fast & Furious 11, Vin Diesel has seemingly shared a positive update regarding the sequel movie.
Fast X was released in United States theaters in 2023. Directed by Louis Leterrier, the film once again sees Diesel reprise his role as Dominic Toretto. Another sequel, Fast and Furious 11, was planned after that; however, the film has hard a hard time getting off the ground.
According to the latest update from the Wall Street Journal, Fast 11 doesn’t have an approved script as of yet, while “most” of the cast don’t have deals to star in the film. This largely seems to be because of budget concerns, as the article states, “Universal executives have told filmmakers they won’t make another sequel unless it costs around $200 million. That way, it would earn a healthy profit even if it grosses less than Fast X. Studios typically look for a film to gross three times its budget to earn a targeted return on investment.”
What is the Fast & Furious 11 update?
While there’s been no official news regarding if Fast & Furious 11 is moving forward at this time, Diesel posted some photos and a video of himself and Michael Moses, a chief marketing officer for Universal Pictures, on Instagram. One of the photos sees Diesel wearing a top that says “Fast X Part 2 Los Angeles Production 2025,” while other pictures see them sitting in a theater or screening room.
In the video, Moses seems to indicate that development on the new The Fast and the Furious movie is moving forward, as he says, “Out drifting with Dom Toretto. Planning everything. We’ve got it solved.”

In a separate post, Diesel also shared a picture of himself and Tyrese Gibson on the set of one of the Fast & Furious movies with the caption, “That laughter of Brotherhood… Timeless. #FastX2.”
At this time, the eleventh Fast and Furious movie does not have a release date from Universal Pictures.
