Evil Dead Burn: Horror Movie Gets Big Update in Violent Video

Evil Dead Burn has received a big update.

Evil Dead Burn is an upcoming horror sequel movie that will serve as the sixth installment in the Evil Dead franchise. Directed by Sébastien Vaniček, the film will be released in United States theaters next summer by Warner Bros. Pictures.

What is the latest Evil Dead Burn update?

On Twitter, the official Evil Dead account has announced that Vaniček’s video has wrapped filming. The announcement is accompanied by a short but violent video that sees someone repeatedly beating an unseen entity with a large object while screaming.

Check out the video below (watch more trailers and clips):

The cast of Evil Dead Burn includes Souheila Yacoub, Hunter Doohan, Luciane Buchanan, Tandi Wright, George Pullar, and Erroll Shand. Vaniček wrote the script with Florent Bernard, while Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert serve as producers. Executive producers include Bruce Campbell, Romel Adam, Jose Canas, and Lee Cronin.

Plot details for Evil Dead Burn remain under wraps at this time, though Vaniček did tell French website Konbini earlier this year that the film would be “nasty.”

“I told the studio that I wanted to make a nasty film, a film that hurts, from which you come away tested,” he explained. “I’m going to put all the horror I have inside, it will be cathartic, and if I haven’t ruined my career and I can continue to make films behind it, I will move on to something other than horror!”

Doohan recently told ComingSoon in an exclusive interview when asked what it means to him to be joining this franchise, “It’s been incredible. Yeah, I was first introduced to it through the Fede Alvarez one they did in 2013, and then I had seen Evil Dead II. Actually, we were shooting Wednesday, and there’s a scene where someone’s like, you know, fighting with Thing… the hand. Someone said that was a reference for them, and so I watched that film just for fun, and it was like, “Oh, well, this is this whole other thing.” They’re [very] campy. So then I got to see the Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell ones. Then once I found out about this project I saw everything in the franchise. So it’s been really fun to have been a fan of it, but then I got to dive in deeper, and yeah, I can’t say too much about it, but I hope people are really gonna like it. I think our director, Sébastien Vaniček, is the perfect guy to take the reins over on this one.”

Evil Dead Burn will be released in United States theaters on July 24, 2025.
