Eddie Murphy’s Decades Old Comedy Movies To Release on Netflix

Netflix subscribers who are also fans of beloved comedian and actor Eddie Murphy have much to look forward to as some of the actor’s most beloved movies are soon coming to the platform. The streaming giant is all set to welcome two fan-favorite titles, featuring Murphy in the lead, next month, followed by a dedicated documentary centering around the illustrious career of the iconic stand-up comic and movie star.

Dr. Dolittle and Dr. Dolittle 2 to stream on Netflix

Netflix’s November 2025 roster promises several notable additions, with a special focus on the works of Eddie Murphy. In accordance, the Dr. Dolittle film series, one of the most recognizable franchises of Murphy’s extensive filmography, will become available for Netflix subscribers to stream starting November 1, as per What’s on Netflix.

Released in 1998, Dr. Dolittle sees Murphy take on the titular role of a surgeon who is blessed with the ability to communicate with animals. However, with his family and friends deeming Dolittle mentally unstable due to this power, he must do whatever he can to prove his sanity. Since its premiere, the movie has garnered a massive fan following, spawning one theatrical sequel in 2001. Both of these Eddie Murphy classics are now on track to hit Netflix.

In addition to Dr. Dolittle and Dr. Dolittle 2, Netflix will welcome one other title featuring Eddie Murphy, in the form of a documentary movie. Helmed by Angus Wall and titled Being Eddie, the feature captures the legendary 50-year career of the 64-year-old artist and will hit the streaming platform on November 12.
