Orville Peck announced the completion of filming for Street Fighter in Australia, marking his first major on-screen role. The singer, who portrays Vega in Kitao Sakurai’s live-action adaptation for Legendary Entertainment, shared the update on Instagram alongside behind-the-scenes photos from the set.
“My two months in Australia making the @streetfightermovie have come to an end,” Peck wrote, adding, “This experience brought me so many unforgettable memories, challenges and above all, a cast & crew that I love to death.”
He continued, “The amount of hard work, commitment, laughter and tears that went into this film will probably only ever fully be known to us – but I can’t wait for the world to see the magic and integrity we set out to create on set every day.” Peck concluded his post with, “Time for this spotted horse to get back to my music and hanging with my dog but until October 2026 – mama, that’s a hadouken.”
Peck’s involvement in the Street Fighter adaptation follows his Broadway debut as the Emcee in the revival of Cabaret. Dalan Musson has written the screenplay. The film features a large ensemble cast, including Andrew Koji, Jason Momoa, Noah Centineo, David Dastmalchian, Andrew Schulz, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Vidyut Jammwal, Olivier Richters, Eric André, Cody Rhodes, Hirooki Goto, Mel Jarnson, Rayna Vallandingham, and Callina Liang.
The film reimagines Capcom’s long-running video-game franchise, which launched in 1987. The series has become one of the most successful fighting-game titles worldwide. Peck brings Vega to life in the Street Fighter movie that will come out in October 2026.
