The Alamo Drafthouse is no stranger to not being fans of people talking during movies, and to help them, Good Fortune director Aziz Ansari shares some of his own pet peeves in a new exclusive from ComingSoon.
What happens in the new Alamo Drafthouse video?
The new video comes from Aziz Ansari, and will play ahead of his movie Good Fortune at Alamo Drafthouse locations. Ansari then goes on to tell the audience to not stay on their phone during the movies. The comedian and director then hilariously shares some of his own pet peeves, including people throwing food everywhere, taking photos of the title screen of movies, and more.

Good Fortune is written, directed, and produced by Ansari in his feature directorial debut. The movie is produced by Anthony Katagas and Alan Yang, with Aniz Adam Ansari, Jonathan McCoy, Christopher Woodrow, and Connor DiGregorio serving as executive producers. The creative team also includes director of photography Adam Newport-Berra and composer Carter Burwell. It is a production by Lionsgate.
The cast of the movie features a star-studded group, led by Keanu Reeves, Keke Palmer, and Sandra Oh. Other stars in the movie include Seth Rogen, Ansari, Sherry Cola, Stephen McKinley Henderson, and more.
Good Fortune will be released in United States theaters on October 17, 2025, from Lionsgate.
