Queens of the Dead Trailer: New Zombie Movie by George A. Romero’s Daughter

IFC Films has released the first Queens of the Dead trailer, previewing the upcoming zombie movie from Tina Romero, daughter of the legendary George A. Romero. Queens of the Dead is set to release in theaters on October 24, 2025.

“A zombie apocalypse breaks out in Brooklyn on the night of a giant warehouse party, where an eclectic group of drag queens, club kids, and frenemies must put aside their drama and use their unique skills to fight against the brain-thirsty, scrolling undead,” reads the film’s official synopsis.

What happens in the Queens of the Dead trailer?

Queens of the Dead follows a zombie apocalypse that breaks out in Brooklyn on the same night of a giant warehouse party. As a result, an ecletic group of drag queens, club kids, and more have to put aside their problems to fight against the zombie horde.

The film stars Katy O’Brian, Jaquel Spivey, Tomas Matos, Nina West, Quincy Dunn-Baker, Jack Haven, Cheyenne Jackson, Dominique Jackson, Margaret Cho, Riki Lindhome, Eve Lindley, Becca Blackwell, Shaunette Renée Wilson, and Julie J.

Queens of the Dead is directed by Romero, who co-wrote the film alongside Erin Judge. Following a run of festival screenings in October, the film will arrive in theaters close to Halloween.
