F1 2: Brad Pitt Racing Movie Sequel Gets Exciting Update From Apple

The prospect of an F1 2 movie got some positive news from Apple CEO Tim Cook recently, giving fans some hope that a new Brad Pitt-led movie could be in the works.

What is the latest F1 2 update?

Speaking to Variety while at the Emmys yesterday, Cook was asked about the potential of a sequel to 2025’s F1. Cook wouldn’t confirm whether or not a movie was happening, but did give a positive update on the prospect for a sequel.

“I don’t know, but it is definitely something that is being talked about.” Cook said. “It’s been such a huge summer blockbuster for us, we’re so proud of it. The talent involved in that show are just next level, and Brad did such a wonderful job acting in it. We’re super proud of it and can’t wait to bring it to the service.”

F1 released over the summer in 2025, and alongside Pitt, starred Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, and Javier Bardem. The film received relatively positive reviews, and did well at the box office. Globally, the film grossed $623 million, and is currently the sixth-highest-grossing film of 2025, and also the highest-grossing auto racing film ever, as well as being Pitt’s highest-grossing movie of his career.

F1 was directed by Joseph Kosinski, from a screenplay written by Ehren Kruger. The film was produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Kosinski, Lewis Hamilton, Pitt, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, Chad Oman, and Angel-Mpho.
