Classic Pixar Movie Returning to Theaters, Tickets on Sale

Pixar is rereleasing one of its most iconic films in theaters to celebrate a big anniversary, allowing fans to check out one of the most influential animated movies of all time.

What Pixar classic is returning to theaters?

Next week, Pixar will rerelease the 1995 classic Toy Story in theaters. The movie is celebrating its 30th anniversary and will arrive in theaters in its original format and in 4DX for the first time on September 12, 2025.

Tickets for the rerelease are available now, with Fandango partnering with Pixar to showcase the film’s rerelease. It’s unclear how long the special theatrical rerelease will run for, but tickets are available for at least a week in participating theaters.

Originally released in 1995, Toy Story was not only the first installment of the long-running franchise, but also Pixar’s first official feature-length film. The movie starred Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Annie Potts, John Ratezenbeger, Don Rickles, Wallace Shawn, and Jim Varney.

Following its release, Toy Story was a smash hit, and was the first movie to ever be nominated for Best Original Screenplay at the Academy Awards. The film spawned off an entire franchise, with a new film, Toy Story 5, currently in the works.
