Toy Story 5 Reveals Conan O’Brien’s Character, New Look at Villain
During the recent D23, Disney and Pixar shared new images from the highly anticipated Toy Story 5 featuring Conan O’Brien‘s character. The newest entry to the acclaimed animated film franchise is currently slated to arrive in theaters on June 19, 2026.
Who is Conan O’Brien’s Toy Story 5 character?
Shared on X, it has been officially confirmed that O’Brien will be voicing the character of Smarty Pants, who’s described as a potty training toy. This marks his first animated movie after previously voicing The Riddler in 2017’s The Lego Batman Movie and Glaxxon 500 in 2021’s The Mitchells vs. the Machines.
In addition, a closer look at the latest installment’s villain, LilyPad, has also been revealed. The new character is an electronic tablet with a green frog-like design. It has an evil plan to completely take away children’s attention from toys.
Toy Story 5 is written and directed by Andrew Stanton (Finding Nemo, Wall-E). The next installment will once again feature the voices of franchise leads Tom Hanks as Woody and Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear. Their characters were last seen together in 2019’s Toy Story 4, where Woody decided to stay with Bo Peep instead of returning home to Bonnie. Joining them are Joan Cusack as Jessie, Tony Hale as Forky, and Ernie Hudson as the new voice of Combat Carl.
At the moment, the studio hasn’t shared the official synopsis and full cast lineup yet, but Cusack’s Jessie is expected to have a major role in the new installment. In addition, Allen also previously promised fans to expect a “really good” story for the sequel.
