Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson‘s relationship was a surprising thing that came out of the pair starring in the recent The Naked Gun reboot, but a new report suggests the couple are just putting on a show.

What do we know about Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson’s relationship?

According to a new report from TMZ, Anderson and Neeson’s relationship, which was revealed alongside the press tour and roll out of The Naked Gun, is nothing but a PR stunt. TMZ’s report notes that the pair acting lovey-dovey with one another thought up by their respective PR teams and Paramount.

The report goes on to mention that this idea came to fruition in 2024, when the movie was still filming. In more surprising news, TMZ notes that Anderson and Neeson barely saw each other between June 2024 (when the movie stopped filming) and July 2025, when the film’s press tour began.

Although TMZ is staunch in its reporting, Anderson and Neeson’s team have bucked back. In a recent report from People shortly after TMZ’s reporting, a source close to the film says that their relationship is “genuine,” and not fake whatsoever.

“Everything between them has been genuine. Neither would ever take part in a publicity stunt. They have a great time. Neither of them needs the publicity,” a source close to the film told People. “Their relationship isn’t just for show. They have a real connection. There’s no incentive for either of them to stage something like this.”

People’s source also called TMZ’s report “ridiculous.” Only time will tell if Anderson and Neeson’s relationship is legitimate. In the meantime, fans can watch the pair star in The Naked Gun, which will be available digitally beginning on September 2, 2025.
