The Naked Gun Digital, 4K, & Blu-ray Release Dates Set, Includes New Scenes

Paramount Pictures has announced The Naked Gun digital, 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD release dates for its reboot sequel to Leslie Nielsen’s original Police Squad franchise. Since its theatrical debut last month, the Liam Neeson-led movie has received positive reviews from critics. It currently holds a Certified Fresh rating of 88% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 306 reviews.

“Police Squad is the elite of the elite. And if anyone can save the world… so can Frank Drebin Jr. Beloved action hero Liam Neeson takes on bad guys like you’ve never seen him before in the outrageously hilarious film. It delivers a high velocity barrage of side-splitting gags, relentless absurdity, and glorious silliness that will leave you breathless with laughter,” reads the synopsis.

When are The Naked Gun digital, 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD release dates?

The Naked Gun will be available to rent or own on digital platforms starting next week, on September 2. Fans who will purchase the movie on digital will also be treated to a full hour of bonus content, which includes deleted and extended scenes. It will then be released in 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on November 11.

The Naked Gun was directed and executive produced by Akiva Schaffer of The Lonely Island comedy group, who has been attached to helm the reboot since 2022. The cast also included Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser, CCH Pounder, Kevin Durand, Cody Rhodes, Liza Koshy, and Eddie Yu, with Danny Huston. Schaffer also co-wrote the screenplay with Dan Gregor and Doug Mand. It was also produced by Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins for Fuzzy Door, with Daniel M. Stillman, Pete Chiappetta, Anthony Tittanegro, and Andrew Lary executive producing.
