Violent Night 2 Cast Adds Frozen & The Suicide Squad Stars

Universal Pictures has officially tapped the first two new cast members for Violent Night 2, the upcoming sequel to the Christmas action comedy movie. It is currently scheduled to arrive in theaters on Wednesday, December 4, 2026.

Who is joining the Violent Night 2 cast?

According to Deadline, Frozen’s Kristen Bell and The Suicide Squad’s Daniela Melchior have been tapped to join the cast of Violent Night 2. They will be starring opposite returning cast member David Harbour, who reprises his leading role as Santa Claus. At the moment, further details about their characters and plot are still being kept under wraps.

The sequel will once again be directed by Tommy Wirkola from a screenplay written by returning scribes Pat Casey and Josh Miller. It will be produced by Kelly McCormick and David Leitch for 87North, with Universal Pictures executives Matt Reilly and Tony Ducret overseeing the project. In a previous interview, Casey and Miller confirmed that the sequel will expand the story’s scope, promising to include “more David Harbour.”

The first installment also starred John Leguizamo (John Wick), Cam Gigandet (Without Remorse), Alex Hassell (Cowboy Bebop), Alexis Louder (The Tomorrow War), Edi Patterson (The Righteous Gemstones), and Beverly D’Angelo (National Lampoon’s Vacation franchise). During its theatrical run, the film garnered a worldwide gross of over $76 million at the box office against a reported budget of $20 million. In addition, the movie also earned positive reviews, with a Tomatometer rating of 74% on Rotten Tomatoes.
