The Twilight Saga Fans Are in for a Treat This October
The Twilight Saga is coming back to theaters. However, it is not a new Twilight movie that is releasing. The old films featuring Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, and Kristen Stewart are set to have a re-release in theaters, and a release date window has been shared by Lionsgate.
The Twilight Saga to return to theaters this October
Lionsgate recently announced that the Twilight Saga, based on author Stephenie Meyer’s hit book series, is coming back to theaters.
The studio took over the ownership of these movies in 2012 from Summit Entertainment. In an Instagram post, Lionsgate, with the official account of Twilight, shared a poster of the movie. It features the main cast members, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner. The poster read, “The Twilight Saga. This October. Forever Begins Again.”
This fueled speculations suggesting that a new Twilight movie might be heading to production, but this is unlikely to happen. Lautner, who played the role of the werewolf, Jacob Black, also generated hype among fans by commenting on the post.
A user wrote, “I’ve been seated a 100 years, and I’ll be seated a million more…for youuuu.”
Another user commented, “Tomorow there announcing there the dates there brining back the twilight movies to theaters it’s for a fathom event I work at regal movie theater so I heard about this cant wait I love twilight got to take my mom twilight is back in theaters.”
Lionsgate has not shared the exact release date for the movie, but the studio wrote in the caption of their post, “Tomorrow…”
The Twilight Saga is one of the most successful franchises and has grossed over $3.3 billion globally. The movies that are part of the film series include Twilight (2008), New Moon (2009), Eclipse (2010), Breaking Dawn – Part 1 (2011), and Breaking Dawn – Part 2 (2012).
Twilight celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2023.
