Nicolas Cage’s Jesus Christ Horror Movie The Carpenter’s Son Gets Teaser Trailer

Magnolia Pictures has revealed the teaser trailer for The Carpenter’s Son, the upcoming horror movie that was inspired by the apocryphal Infancy Gospel of Thomas. The said text recounts stories from Jesus Christ’s childhood, which will be reimagined in the film. It is currently slated to arrive in theaters sometime this fall.

Who is in The Carpenter’s Son teaser trailer?

The video provides the audience with a first look at its main cast, led by Oscar winner Nicolas Cage as the Carpent, singer-actress FKA Twigs as the Mother, and A Quiet Place star Noah Jupe as the Boy. Additional cast members include Isla Johnston, Souheila Yacoub, Penelope Markopoulou, Kaiti Manolidaki, Tomer Lev Tov, and more.

The Carpenter’s Son is written and directed by Lotfy Nathan. The movie is executive-produced by Nathan, Scott Aharoni, Jackie Bernon, Noémie Devide, Sinan Eczacibasi, Harry Finkel, Yiannis Iakovidis, Eugene Kotlyarenko, David Levine, Nick Shumaker, Jennifer Venditti, Theo Vieljeux, and Metin Alihan Yalcindag. The creative team consists of cinematographer Simon Beaufils, editor Sophie Corra, and composer Lorenz Dangel.

“It tells the dark story of a family hiding out in Roman Egypt. Known only as ‘the Boy’, the son is driven to doubt by another mysterious child and rebels against his guardian, the Carpenter, revealing inherent powers and a fate beyond his comprehension.
