Monster Season 3 Release Date & Posters Unveiled for Ed Gein Story

Netflix has announced the release date for Monster: The Ed Gein Story, which serves as the latest entry to Ryan Murphy’s true crime anthology series. In addition, the first posters for Monster Season 3 have also been revealed, featuring Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam as the titular serial killer. Each poster also references popular horror movies, including The Silence of the Lambs, Psycho, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which are actually inspired by Ed Gein’s story.

When is the Monster Season 3 release date?

Monster: The Ed Gein Story will be available for streaming starting on October 3, 2025. Besides Hunnam, the ensemble cast also includes Suzanna Son as Adeline Watkins, Tom Hollander as Alfred Hitchcock, Laurie Metcalf as Augusta Gein, Vicky Krieps as Ilse Koch, Olivia Williams as Alma Reville, Joey Pollari as Anthony Perkins, Tyler Jacob Moore as Sheriff Schley, Charlie Hall as Deputy Worden, Will Brill as Tobe Hooper, Mimi Kennedy as Dr. Mildred Newman, Robin Weigert as Enid Watkins, and Lesley Manville as Bernice Worden.

The show is co-created and executive-produced by longtime collaborators Murphy and Ian Brennan, who are also serving as co-writers. Prior to Season 3’s release, the streamer is also now working on the show’s fourth installment, which will center around the Lizzie Borden axe murders.
