What happens in the Play Dirty trailer?
The Play Dirty trailer sees Wahlberg play a professional thief named Parker who is on a mission to get revenge against those who wronged him. He enlists the help of a con artist, played by Stanfield, to help him plan a heist that will be anything but easy to pull off.
“An expert thief rolls out the biggest heist of his life in Play Dirty, an action-packed thriller from director Shane Black,” the official synopsis reads. “Parker (Mark Wahlberg), along with Grofield (LaKeith Stanfield), Zen (Rosa Salazar), and a skilled crew, stumble onto a score that pits them against the New York mob in this gritty, clever caper.”
The cast of the movie further includes Keegan-Michael Key, Nat Wolff, Chukwudi Iwuji, Thomas Jane, and Tony Shalhoub. Black wrote the script alongside Charles Monday and Anthony Bagarozzi, while Jules Daly, Marc Toberoff, and James W. Skotchdopole serve as producers. Executive producers include Bagarozzi, Mondry, Robert Downey Jr., and Susan Downey.
Black is known for writing movies such as 1987’s Lethal Weapon, 1987’s The Monster Squad, 1993’s Last Action Hero, 1996’s The Long Kiss Goodnight, and more. He made his feature film directorial debut in 2005 with Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, which was then followed by 2013’s Iron Man 3, 2016’s The Nice Guys, and 2018’s The Predator.
Play Dirty will be released on Amazon Prime Video on October 1, 2025.
