Robin and the Hoods Clip Previews Naomie Harris-Led Reimagining

ComingSoon is excited to debut an exclusive Robin and the Hoods clip showing off the family comedy movie starring Naomie Harris. The two-minute video shows a magical standoff between Robin and Harris’ villain. The heartwarming reimagining of the classic folk tale will be available on digital platforms for rental and purchase on August 27.

“Fired by her imagination, Robin is the bright-eyed leader of a group of kids, the Hoods, who love to play fantasy games on a patch of land they nickname The Kingdom. While their biggest concern is a rival gang looking to take over their domain, things get serious when plans emerge to develop the area that’s their playground into a new leisure facility for the town. Faced with the ruthless spokesperson CLIP-BOARD, Robin and her friends must find a way to save their play area before it’s too late,” says the synopsis.

Robin and the Hoods stars Academy Award nominee Naomie Harris (Moonlight), Emmy Award nominee Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones), Darcey Ewart (Prancer: A Christmas Tale), and Mark Williams (Harry Potter). The film was directed by Phil Hawkins from a script written by Stuart Benson and Paul Davidson. Producers include Claudia Bluemhuber and Matt Williams.

The family comedy movie was an official selection of the acclaimed Bentonville Film Festival, and also screened at Belmont World Film Festival, Providence Children’s Film Festival, Boston International Kids Film Festival, and will be at the San Diego International Kids Festival. Robin and the Hoods will be on digital platforms on August 27 (AppleTV, Amazon, Google/YouTube, Fandango at Home, Kaleidescape, InDemand & DirectTV) and will also be released on DVD later this year.
