When KPop Demon Hunters Sing-Along will get its streaming release date

The KPop Demon Hunters sing-along version will begin streaming on Netflix on August 25, 2025, at 12 AM PT following its limited theatrical event.

Netflix recently confirmed the news on social media with the caption “FOR THE FANS!” after the one-weekend-only screenings on August 23–24, which sold out across more than 1,000 theaters in the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the U.K. Industry sources reported the event grossed an estimated $18 million, topping the box office that weekend. Produced with Sony Pictures Animation, the animated film became Netflix’s most-watched animated release since its June 20 debut. Netflix confirmed it ranks second among the platform’s most popular English-language films, garnering over 180 million views. It also dominated Nielsen’s streaming charts. Its soundtrack hit No. 2 on the Billboard 200 for the August 16 week.

The story follows HUNTR/X members Rumi (Arden Cho), Mira (May Hong), and Zoey (Ji-young Yoo). They balance superstardom with secret identities as demon hunters. Their biggest challenge comes when a rival demon-led boy band threatens their fans. The film is co-directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans. The voice cast also includes Daniel Dae Kim, Ahn Hyo-seop, Liza Koshy, Yunjin Kim, Ken Jeong, Joel Kim Booster, and Daniel Dae Kim.

To launch the sing-along event, cast and crew made surprise appearances in New York and Los Angeles theaters. Guests included Ken Jeong, Arden Cho, Kevin Woo, May Hong, Rei Ami, Kevin Woo, and producer Michelle L.M. Wong.

The Empire State Building lit up gold during the weekend to celebrate the release, partnering with Netflix, CAPE, and iHeartMedia. EJAE, the vocalist for Rumi, told audiences at a preview screening, “I’m speechless. This has all been insane. I’ve been crying a lot.” (via The Hollywood Reporter)

The KPop Demon Hunters sing-along will now be available globally on Netflix starting August 25.
