What happens in the Vindication Swim trailer?
Vindication Swim’s trailer follows the story of Mercedes Gleitze, who becomes the first British woman to swim across the English Channel. After achieving the feat, though, her success is quickly thrown into question, forcing her to fight for the recognition of her feat.
Vindication Swim stars Kirsten Callaghan, John Locke, Victoria Summer, Douglas Hodge (in a voice role), and James Wilby. The movie is written and directed by Elliott Hasler. Simon Hasler, Douglas McJannet, and Sally Humphreys Wood serve as producers on the project.
In the real world, Gleitze was not only the first British woman to cross the English Channel, but also the first known person to swim the Straits of Gibraltar. She also established endurance records for swimming throughout her career.
