The Conjuring: Last Rites will be the fourth installment in the main Conjuring franchise. The Warner Bros. Pictures horror movie is directed by Michael Chaves and will see Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga reprise their roles as paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren.

A description of the movie reads, “The Conjuring: Last Rites delivers another thrilling chapter of the iconic Conjuring cinematic universe, based on real events. Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson reunite for one last case as renowned, real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren in a powerful and spine-chilling addition to the global box office-breaking franchise.”
The cast further includes Mia Tomlinson as Judy Warren, Ben Hardy as Tony Spera, and Steve Coulter as Father Gordon. Additionally, Rebecca Calder, Elliot Cowan, Kíla Lord Cassidy, Beau Gadsdon, John Brotherton, and Shannon Kook star in the movie as well.
The screenplay comes from Ian Goldberg, Richard Naing, and David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, based on a story by Johnson-McGoldrick and James Wan. Johnson-McGoldrick also serves as executive producer alongside Chaves, Michael Clear, Judson Scott, Hans Ritter, Natalia Safran, and John Rickard.
The Conjuring franchise officially began in 2013 with the Wan-directed movie. The two direct sequels to the movie are 2016’s The Conjuring 2 and 2021’s The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, while spin-offs that are part of the same universe include 2014’s Annabelle, 2017’s Annabelle: Creation, 2018’s The Nun, 2019’s Annabelle Comes Home, and 2023’s The Nun II.
The Conjuring 4 arrives in United States theaters and IMAX on September 5, 2025.
