The Naked Gun 5 With Liam Neeson & Pamela Anderson Gets Great Update

The Naked Gun continues to have a great box office run, and in a recent interview, producer Erica Huggins opened up about the potential of another entry in the franchise.

Speaking to THR, Huggins — who produced the movie alongside Seth MacFarlane — was asked if any discussions about a Naked Gun 5 had taken place. Huggins said they had, and the team behind the movie was even talking to stars Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson about them.

“Absolutely. We’ve now had enough conversations among the filmmakers, and certainly with Pam [Anderson] and Liam, too, when we were selling the movie in the blue sky version of what could happen next, yes, we were thinking about where it could go and what it could be,” said Huggins. “Akiva and Dan and Doug, our writers, we’re all talking about it.”

The Naked Gun was written by the trio of Dan Gregor, Doug Mand, and Akiva Schaffer, the latter of whom also directed the movie. Following its premiere, The Naked Gun has been nothing short of a success both critically and commercially.

To date, the movie has earned $56.4 million globally and hasn’t seen any major drops in terms of its week-to-week box office return. Alongside Neeson and Anderson, The Naked Gun also stars Paul Walter Hauser, CCH Pounder, Kevin Durand, Cody Rhodes, Liza Koshy, and Eddie Yu, with Danny Huston.

The Naked Gun is available in theaters now.
