Quentin Tarantino’s Final Movie Gets Disappointing Update Amid Rumored Cast
Quentin Tarantino’s final movie has received a disappointing update.
Following the release of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood in 2019, Tarantino has announced that he intends to direct one more movie before retiring from filmmaking. Plot details regarding this project have remained highly under wraps, as Tarantino has also previously said that he’s not in a rush to get the movie made.
What is the latest update on Quentin Tarantino’s final movie?
Recently, rumors began spreading that Tarantino’s final movie was going to begin filming this coming December. These rumors stemmed from a listing on Production List, which claims that Brad Pitt, Uma Thurman, and Samuel L. Jackson will all star in the project.
The listing also lists Shannon McIntosh, David Heyman, and Stacey Sher as producers, Robert Richardson as cinematographer, Victoria Thomas as casting director, Arianne Phillips and Jacqueline West as costume designers, and Fred Raskin as editor.
According to World of Reel, however, the information listed on Production List is false.
“Sources are telling me Tarantino is nowhere near finished the screenplay for his tenth film, and that in fact, he might not have even started writing it,” the publication’s article notes. “There are currently no plans to shoot anything this year.”
While Tarantino fans wait to see what, exactly, his final movie will look like, it is known that David Fincher is directing a sequel to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, The Adventures of Cliff Booth. Pitt will reprise his role as the titular character in that movie, while the cast also includes Scott Caan, Elizabeth Debicki, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Carla Gugino, Holt McCallany, JB Tadena, and Corey Fogelmanis. Additionally, Timothy Olyphant is reprising his role as James Stacy.
With the film currently in production, The Adventures of Cliff Booth does not have a release date from Netflix at this time.
