Kyle Gallner & Shawn Ashmore Star in Crime Thriller Just Breathe Trailer | Exclusive

ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive Just Breathe trailer for the upcoming crime thriller, featuring Smile star Kyle Gallner and X-Men vet Shawn Ashmore. This comes after two months since Shout! Studios acquired the North American distribution rights to the movie. It will be available to rent or own on digital platforms starting on September 16, 2025.

What is Just Breathe about?

“The film is a tense thriller that combines raw intensity with profound emotional depth, resulting in a compelling narrative that lingers long after the credits roll. The film follows Nick Bianco, who plans to rebuild his life and win back the love of his life after a year spent in prison for assault,” reads the official synopsis. “Upon his release, Nick learns that the target of his affections has another admirer, Chester, his no-nonsense parole officer. Nick soon finds himself caught in a gripping rivalry that threatens not only his second chance at love but also his chance to stay out of prison.”

Just Breathe is written and directed by Paul P. Pompa III. Joining Gallner and Ashmore are E’myri Crutchfield, William Forsythe, Bryant Carroll, Phuong Kubacki, Sarah Pribis, Sewell Whitney, Morris Napolitano, Robert Oppel, Ezra DuVall, Matthew Scott Snyder, and more. It is a production by MPX Films and Rockwood Champ.

The movie is produced by Pompa, James Agnew, Cam Cannon, and Rick Dugdale, with Wendy Benge, Ryan Bury, and James Andrew Felts serving as executive producers. The creative team also includes director of photography Andrew Chen, editor Phil Norden, and composer Jose Manuel Cancela.
