
Orlando Bloom Boxing Movie The Cut Gets Brutal Trailer
Republic Pictures has shared full trailer for its upcoming sports drama titled The Cut, led by Lord of the Rings alum Orlando Bloom. The R-rated movie is currently scheduled to make its debut in theaters on September 5, 2025.
“After a career-ending defeat, a former champion trains for redemption – but as obsession takes hold and reality unravels, he may be spiraling into something far more terrifying,” reads the official synopsis.

Who is in The Cut trailer?
The video shows Bloom as a boxing player who comes out of retirement in hopes of redeeming himself from a previous defeat. To win the championship title, he undergoes an intense training under the supervision of a brutal coach who will lead him down to a dangerous path. Also featured in the trailer are Caitríona Balfe as Caitlin, John Turturro as Boz, Gary Beadle as Donny, Oliver Trevena as Jay, and Andonis Anthony as Paolo.
The Cut is directed by Sean Ellis (Anthropod, Metro Manila) from a screenplay written by Justin Bull, based on a story by Mark Lane. Additional casting including Clare Dunne, Ed Kear, Oliver Trevena, Mohammed Mansaray, and more. Besides leading the cast, Bloom is also serving as a producer alongside Mark Lane, Leonora Darby, James Harris, Adam Karasick, Bret Saxon, and Thomas Fanning. In addition, the creative team also includes director of photography Sean Ellis and editor Matyas Fekete, with composers Lorne Balfe and Stuart Michael Thomas providing the music.
