
Tron: Ares Trailer Gives Triumphant First Look at Jeff Bridges’ Return
A brand new Tron: Ares trailer is out, showing off more of Jared Leto’s mysterious AI character that’s transported into the real world, as well as giving us our first look at Jeff Bridges.
What occurs in the new Tron: Ares trailer?
The trailer highlights Ares, a mysterious AI played by Leto who is brought into the real world via Julian Dillinger (Evan Peters). Ares is marketed as a brilliant soldier who is capable of being respawned at any time, but things seem to quickly go off the rails.

Alongside Leto, Tron: Ares also features a star-studded cast that includes Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, Jodie Turner-Smith, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan, Gillian Anderson, Jeff Bridges, and Sarah Desjardins.
Tron: Ares will be the third official feature film in Disney’s Tron franchise following 1982’s Tron and 2010’s Tron: Legacy. The film is directed by Joachim Rønning, who previously made 2019’s Maleficent: Mistress of Evil and 2024’s Young Woman and the Sea. He also co-directed 2017’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales with Espen Sandberg. The script for the film is written by Jesse Wigutow.
Tron: Ares will be released in U.S. theaters and IMAX on October 10, 2025, from Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
