Super Volcano is a new disaster movie that comes from The Asylum, the film production and distribution company that is best known for making mockbusters. The movie stars William Baldwin, McKenzie Westmore, and Grant Bowler.

What happens in the Super Volcano trailer?
The trailer for Super Volcano sees a group of scientists and disaster experts work together to try and stop an enormous volcano located from Hawaii from destroying not just the entire island, but also the whole planet.
“When a super-volcano threatens the island of Hawaii, a team of rescue and disaster experts are called in to help,” the official synopsis reads. “They must race against the clock to save those in the path of the molten lava and stop the volcano for good.”
Super Volcano is directed by Jared Cohn, whose filmography includes titles such as 2011’s Underground Lizard People, 2013’s Atlantic Rim, 2016’s Little Dead Rotting Hood, 2017’s Halloween Pussy Trap Kill! Kill!, 2020’s Street Survivors: The True Story of the Lynyrd Skynyrd Plane Crash, 2022’s Vendetta, and more.
The screenplay comes from Marc Gottlieb and C.M. Dowling.
William Baldwin is the brother of Alec, Daniel, and Stephen. He has previously starred in movies such as 1990’s Flatliners, 1991’s Backdraft, 1999’s Virus, 2005’s The Squid and the Whale, and 2008’s Forgetting Sarah Marshall, among other titles.
Super Volcano will be released on digital streaming outlets on July 18, 2025. It will also play in select theaters in United States starting on July 25, 2025. Theatrical locations it will be playing at include Glendale, California’s Laemmle Glendale; Roswell, Georgia’s Aurora Cineplex; Brooklyn, New York’s Film Noir Cinema; Brunswick, Ohio’s Hickory Ridge Cinemas; and Minneapolis, Minnesota’s Trylon Cinema.
