Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film, The Odyssey, is already having 70mm IMAX screenings scheduled for it a year in advance. Nolan’s The Odyssey is an adaptation of Homer’s epic poem of the same name. It arrives in theaters on July 17, 2026. The film boasts a massive ensemble cast of big Hollywood names. These include Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, and Charlize Theron, among many other stars.

A user named Nolan Archive stated on X (formerly Twitter) that “IMAX 70mm showtimes for THE ODYSSEY have been announced for next year at Harkins IMAX in Arizona and Cinemark IMAX in Dallas. Some IMAX 70mm slots for THE ODYSSEY have already been scheduled at several theaters, nearly a year in advance. More IMAX 70mm locations are expected to follow soon.”
The listing for the film at Harkins Theaters Arizona Mills currently has a 7:00 PM time slot scheduled for its showing.
It is quite uncommon for movies to have their showtimes publicly listed so far in advance. There are still months to go before the tickets for the new Christopher Nolan film go up for presale. Producers and distributors for The Odyssey have not yet commented on these listings.
The Odyssey is one of the most anticipated movies of 2026.
