The first Thunderbolts* deleted scene has been revealed ahead of the superhero movie’s upcoming digital release on July 1. Since making its debut, it has already garnered a Certified Fresh rating of 88% on Rotten Tomatoes based on 345 reviews. Because of this, it has now become the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s highest-rated Phase 5 movie.

The video shows Wyatt Russell’s John Walker/U.S. Agent as he fails to lift the door to a storage facility where he gets trapped inside along with Florence Pugh‘s Yelena Belova and Hannah John-Kamen’s Ava Starr/Ghost.
Thunderbolts* was directed by Jake Schreier from a screenplay written by Lee Sung Jin, based on the first draft by Eric Pearson. The cast also includes Sebastian Stan (A Different Man) as Bucky/ Winter Soldier, Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Veep) as Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, David Harbour (Stranger Things) as Red Guardian, Wyatt Russell (Monarch: Legacy of Monsters) as John Walker/US Agent, Hannah John-Kamen (Ant-Man & The Wasp) as Ava Starr/Ghost, Olga Kurylenko (Hitman) as Taskmaster, Lewis Pullman (Top Gun: Maverick) as Sentry, Geraldine Viswanathan (Miracle Workers), and more.
“Marvel Studios assembles an unconventional team of antiheroes with Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, Red Guardian, Ghost, Taskmaster and John Walker,” reads the official synopsis. “After finding themselves ensnared in a death trap set by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, these disillusioned castoffs must embark on a dangerous mission. Forced to confront the darkest corners of their pasts, will this dysfunctional group tear themselves apart, or find redemption and unite before it’s too late?”
Following its digital release, the movie will also be available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD starting on July 29.
