The Strangers – Chapter 2 Trailer: Madelaine Petsch Fights Intruders

The first trailer for The Strangers – Chapter 2 has been released.

The Strangers: Chapter 1 was released in United States theaters in May 2024. A reimagining of 2008’s The Strangers, the film is directed by Renny Harlin and stars Madelaine Petsch as Maya Lucas.

The Strangers: Chapter 1 kickstarts a new trilogy of Strangers movies, as The Strangers – Chapter 2 is now scheduled to hit theaters this coming September from Lionsgate. All three movies were filmed in 2022.

What happens in The Strangers – Chapter 2 trailer?

Picking up where The Strangers: Chapter 1 left off, the trailer for The Strangers – Chapter 2 once again sees Petsch’s Maya character trying to defend herself from masked intruders who are stalking her for no particular reason. In addition to Petsch, the cast of the movie includes Gabriel Basso as Gregory and Ema Horvath as Shelly.

“The chilling next chapter of The Strangers franchise,” the official logline for the movie reads.” Lionsgate presents, a Fifth Element production, in association with Stream Media, Sherborne Media, and Lipsync.”

The script comes from Alan R. Cohen and Alan Freedland, while Courtney Solomon, Mark Canton, Christopher Milburn, Gary Raskin, Alastair Burlingham, and Charlie Dombek serve as producers on the film.

The Strangers: Chapter 1 was a modest hit at the box office, as it made around $48.2 million globally. In comparison, the 2008 version of The Strangers made about $82.4 million, while the sequel to that film, 2018’s The Strangers: Prey at Night, earned $32.1 million.

The Strangers – Chapter 2 will be released in United States theaters on September 26, 2025. It takes the release date that previously belonged to Saw XI.
