What happens in the Weapons trailer?
The video gives the audience a better idea of what to expect from Barbarian director Zach Cregger’s next horror feature. It begins with Garner’s character talking in front of concerned parents, who are convinced that she has something to do with the disappearance of 17 children from her class. The trailer also highlights the strange occurrences that happen in the town as Garner and Brolin’s characters try to investigate the mystery behind the missing children.
Weapons is written and directed by Cregger, who is also serving as the producer. The movie will also star Alden Ehrenreich, Austin Abrams, Cary Christopher, Benedict Wong, and Amy Madigan. It is produced by Roy Lee, Miri Yoon, J.D. Lifshitz, and Raphael Margules, with Michelle Morrissey and Josh Brolin set as executive producers.
When the project was first announced, it was described as “an interrelated, multistory horror epic” that is tonally being likened to Paul Thomas Anderson’s 1999 film Magnolia. The filmmaker’s creative team behind the camera includes director of photography Larkin Seiple, production designer Tom Hammock, editor Joe Murphy, and costume designer Trish Sommerville. The music is by Ryan Holladay, Hays Holladay, and Cregger.
