A Minecraft Movie Max Release Date for Jack Black Movie’s Streaming Debut

Warner Bros. has finally announced the A Minecraft Movie Max release date for the upcoming streaming debut of the hit live-action fantasy movie. It is based on Mojang Studios’ best-selling video game of the same name. During its theatrical run, the adaptation earned a worldwide gross of over $951 million at the box office.

Four misfits—Garrett ‘The Garbage Man’ Garrison, Henry, Natalie and Dawn—find themselves struggling with ordinary problems when they are suddenly pulled through a mysterious portal into the Overworld: a bizarre, cubic wonderland that thrives on imagination,” reads the official synopsis. “To get back home, they’ll have to master this world (and protect it from evil things like Piglins and Zombies, too) while embarking on a magical quest with an unexpected, expert crafter, Steve. Together, their adventure will challenge all five to be bold and to reconnect with the qualities that make each of them uniquely creative…the very skills they need to thrive back in the real world.”

When is the A Minecraft Movie Max release date?

A Minecraft Movie will be available for streaming starting on Friday, June 20, on Max. In addition, a version of the Jack Black-led movie with American Sign Language (ASL) will also stream exclusively on Max the same day, performed by Deaf ASL Interpreter Sophia Morales. This will then be followed by its broadcast debut on HBO on Saturday, June 21.

The movie was directed by Jared Hess from a screenplay written by Chris Bowman & Hubbel Palmer and Neil Widener & Gavin James and Chris Galletta, based on a story by Allison Schroeder and Chris Bowman & Hubbel Palmer. The cast is led by Jason Momoa as The Garbage Man, Black as Steve, Jennifer Coolidge as Vice Principal Marlene, Emma Myers as Natalie, Danielle Brooks as Dawn, Sebastian Hansen as Henry, Rachel House as Malgosha, Matt Berry as the voice of Nitwit, Jemaine Clement as Daryl & voice of Bruce, and Kate McKinnon,

The film was produced by Momoa, Roy Lee, Jon Berg, Mary Parent, Cale Boyter, Jill Messick, Torfi Frans Ólafsson and Vu Bui, with Todd Hallowell, Jay Ashenfelter, Kayleen Walters, Brian Mendoza and Jon Spaihts executive producing. It was a production by Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures.
