Scarlett Johansson Had Thunderbolts* EP Credit Removed

Marvel veteran Scarlett Johansson is listed as an executive producer on the latest MCU movie, Thunderbolts*. However, Johansson revealed that she asked to be removed from the credits.

What did Scarlett Johansson say about Thunderbolts*?

Johansson recently interviewed David Harbour, who plays Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian in Thunderbolts*. Johansson, who starred as Natasha Romanoff in the MCU, worked with Harbour on Black Widow. During the interview, Harbour congratulated Johansson on her executive producer credit for Thunderbolts*. The compliment was short-lived, as Johansson explained why she did not want the credit.

“I asked to have my credit removed because I wasn’t involved,” Johansson told Harbour via Interview Magazine.

Harbour joked that Johansson hated that movie, to which the actress said, “No, you’re just wanting that to be the case.”

Several Marvel actors have convened in London for Avengers: Doomsday. Harbour is one of the many stars billed for the next Avengers movie. Johansson teased that some of her “friends” are in Doomsday.

After Harbour admitted to being in Doomsday, Johansson said, “I haven’t lost my magic Marvel touch yet. I’m not even contracted to Marvel and I’m still f—ing holding your secrets.”

“Oh, come on, Scarlett. We all know you’re the secret character,” Harbour added. “We all know the Black Widow comes back from the dead.”

Johansson has not appeared in the MCU since Black Widow. However, her character died in Avengers: Endgame after sacrificing herself so that Clint Barton could retrieve the Soul Stone. Johansson further explained to Harbour why she can’t return to the MCU.

“If I come back from the dead, then half the world’s population dies,” Johansson said. “Didn’t you see Endgame for Christ’s sake?”

Thunderbolts* is now in theaters. Meanwhile, Johansson is one of the stars of Jurassic World Rebirth, which opens July 2.
