Pirates of the Caribbean 6 Release Date Isn’t Close, Teases Star

The wait for Pirates of the Caribbean 6 release date continues as actor Orlando Bloom has shared a disappointing update. The Lord of the Rings star said that while talks about the much-awaited sequel have taken place, the team is still trying to iron out the specifics for the film.

Orlando Bloom gives development update on Pirates of the Caribbean 6

During his recent appearance on ITV’s This Morning talk show, Orlando Bloom admitted that he is unaware of any substantial progress made on Pirates of the Caribbean 6, suggesting that an official release date for the movie is far from being confirmed.

The 48-year-old actor noted, “There’s been all kinds of things. Who knows? There’s been talk [of a sixth movie]. I can’t say anything at the moment, because I really don’t know. I think they’re trying to work out what it would all look like.”

While Bloom failed to provide any positive update on the release date of Pirates of the Caribbean 6, he did express his willingness to return to the franchise, along with the other members of the original cast. “I, personally, think it would be great to get the band back together. I think that would be great. But there are always different ideas, so we’ll see where it lands,” the Troy star added.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, which is the latest entry in the franchise, was released back in 2017. While the film’s post-credits scene did set the ground for a sixth installment, promising a showdown between Johnny Depp’s Captain Jack Sparrow and Bill Nighy’s Davy Jones, such plans have failed to materialize so far. While rumors regarding a potential reboot of the entire franchise have come up in the past, Disney has yet to share any official word on the release date of Pirates of the Caribbean 6.
