According to a new report from Box Office Theory, First Steps is aiming for an opening of somewhere between $125-136 million. Should that number hold, it’ll put the movie into the top 3 of Marvel’s summer releases, alongside Deadpool & Wolverine and Thor: Love and Thunder.
The movie’s estimated projections would also put it ahead of Spider-Man: Homecoming, which earned $117 million in its opening weekend over the summer.
The cast of The Fantastic Four: First Steps is led by Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm. The film also includes Ralph Ineson as Galactus and Julia Garner as Shalla-Bal/Silver Surfer. Additionally, Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, and Natasha Lyonne have been cast in undisclosed roles.

Kevin Feige serves as a producer on the project, while executive producers include Louis D’Esposito, Grant Curtis, and Tim Lewis. Mitch Bell is a co-producer, while the music comes from Michael Giacchino.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps will be released in United States theaters on July 25, 2025. It has been confirmed that Pascal, Kirby, Quinn, and Moss-Bachrach will all return for the next MCU movie after that, Avengers: Doomsday, which arrives in May 2026.
