Box Office Results: Lilo & Stitch Scores Big Again, Karate Kid Underperforms

Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch movie beat all the new competition at the domestic box office this past weekend.

Lilo & Stitch made another $63 million in the United States this past weekend, which puts its domestic total up to $280 million. Mission: Impossible 8, meanwhile, also held pretty strong with $27.3 million.

Karate Kid: Legends, however, underperformed, as, per Deadline, the movie was tracking to make around $35 million but only came away with $21 million. Final Destination: Bloodlines is still making money in the United States, as it brought in another $10.8 million, while the week’s other big newcomer, A24’s Bring Her Back, scored around $7 million.
