Thunderbolts* MCU Character’s Costume Gets Major Upgrade in New Concept Art
Hannah John-Kamen’s Ghost/Ava Starr gets a radically different costume in new Thunderbolts* concept art.
Marvel Studios Thunderbolts* was released in theaters earlier this month. Directed by Jake Schreier, the film stars Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Wyatt Russell as John Walker/U.S. Agent, Olga Kurylenko as Antonia Dreykov/Taskmaster, Lewis Pullman as Bob Reynolds/Sentry, Geraldine Viswanathan as Mel, Wendell Pierce as Gary, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine in addition to John-Kamen.
What does Ghost’s costume look like in the new Thunderbolts* concept art?
On Instagram, visual artist Aleksi Briclot shared some new Ghost concept art for the Marvel movie. “I’ve started from her previous look and was going for a BlackOp vibe following her dramatic development as well as the tone of the movie,” Briclot wrote.
Costume concept artist Constantine Sekeris also previously showed off some Ghost concept art, wearing a totally different costume than the one seen in Briclot’s images, for Thunderbolts*, which can be viewed by clicking here.
John-Kamen made her MCU debut in 2018’s Ant-Man and the Wasp. She — along with Pugh, Stan, Russell, Pullman, and Harbour — will be returning for Avengers: Doomsday, which is currently in production and will be released in December 2026.
“Marvel Studios assembles an unconventional team of antiheroes—Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, Red Guardian, Ghost, Taskmaster, and John Walker,” the official synopsis for Thunderbolts* reads. “After finding themselves ensnared in a death trap set by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, these disillusioned castoffs must embark on a dangerous mission that will force them to confront the darkest corners of their pasts. Will this dysfunctional group tear themselves apart, or find redemption and unite as something much more before it’s too late?”
Thunderbolts* is currently playing in United States theaters.
