Thunderbolts*: Lewis Pullman’s Sentry Shines Bright in Marvel Concept Art
Having witnessed Lewis Pullman’s Sentry in all his glory in the recently released Thunderbolts*, MCU fans have now received a glimpse at the character’s official concept art. The image serves as the first look at the Marvel-approved design of the all-powerful character that has made its way onto the internet.
Lewis Pullman’s golden Sentry suit design revealed for Thunderbolts*
Marvel Studios’ senior illustrator John Staub, who previously worked on the concept art of Blade, Elektra, and Chris Evans’ Johnny Storm, among other characters of Deadpool & Wolverine, recently took to social media to share the official design of Sentry.
The artwork shared on Instagram features Lewis Pullman sporting slicked-back golden hair as well as the iconic golden suit of his Sentry persona. Flying against a greyish-blue backdrop of the sky, Sentry dons the costume as seen in the Jake Schreier-helmed Thunderbolts*, full with his navy colored boots, logo-embedded belt, collar, as well as wrist sleeves.

In the post where Staub revealed the first official concept art for Sentry, the artist added the caption, “Approved design of #Sentry for the #thunderbolts film. Had the thankful opportunity of helping bring this character to the big screen. Led by the amazing @andyparkart, director of visual development. I am incredibly proud to have worked alongside amazing artists such as @constantinesekeris @rodneyimages @jwsze @wes_burt @janaschirmer @jihyeleeart @jsmarantz.”
Towards the conclusion of Marvel’s Thunderbolts*, Lewis Pullman’s character decides to join forces with the Yelena Belova-led team. However, in the film’s post-credits scene, he makes his intentions of not transforming into Sentry clear, in order to avoid any further mishaps from his alter-ego, the Void.
However, Marvel Studios has confirmed that the character will return to the big screen in Avengers: Doomsday, suggesting that Pullman’s Bob Reynolds will have to break his vow of not turning into Sentry sometime in the upcoming Avengers installment.
Helmed by the Russo brothers, Avengers: Doomsday is currently on track to hit theaters on May 1, 2026.
