Austin Butler & Jeremy Allen White to Lead A24 Crime Movie From Ari Aster

Oscar nominee Austin Butler (Elvis) and Emmy winner Jeremy Allen White (The Bear) have signed on for the leading roles in A24‘s upcoming crime drama titled, Enemies. The story will center around a relentless detective and an infamous contract killer collide in a deadly game of cat and mouse.

Who is involved in the Austin Butler & Jeremy Allen White movie?

Enemies will be written and directed by Henry Dunham, who is no stranger to the crime genre after previously directing the 2018 crime thriller The Standoff at Sparrow Creek. The project is produced by Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen for Square Peg, along with Alejandro De Leon. It is executive produced by Josh Bachove. Production is expected to begin this summer in Chicago. The movie reportedly has a production budget of around $25 million.

This marks White’s latest project with A24, after previously starring in the critically-acclaimed biogprahical movie The Iron Claw. Apart from reprising his role as Carmy Berzatto in the upcoming fourth season of The Bear, White is also currently attached to star in the Bruce Springsteen biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere, and in the highly-anticipated The Mandalorian and Grogu movie.

As Butler, he is expected to star in the crime thriller movie Caught Stealing with Zoe Kravitz. In addition, Butler is also part of the cast for Aster’s next film with A24, titled Eddington. The Western movie is also led by Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, and Emma Stone. Both movies are expected to be released this year.
